Making Jurong a beautiful, model green community
- Jurong Lake Gardens, our third national garden, will give everyone a unique experience with nature over 90 hectares. The first phase, Lakeside Gardens on the western shore, was opened a year ago. Lakeside Gardens Northshore will be ready later this year, and includes Singapore’s largest skate park. Chinese and Japanese Gardens, to be completed in late 2022, will have rich collections of water lilies and floral gardens, set amidst water bodies and streams.
- We will work with residents to make Jurong a model green community. This will include many community spaces throughout our estates, with plots in which families can do their own gardening.
- Solar panels will be installed on many more HDB blocks to provide clean and affordable energy. We will also mobilise the community and our schools to encourage recycling and sustainable choices, so as to protect our environment.
WHAT WE ARE DOING TOGETHER IN JURONG GRC
We must never stop in our efforts to make Singapore better, for every citizen.
We believe this requires good government policies complemented by strong community initiatives.
We strengthened many of our schemes during COVID-19, and will continue with several of these initiatives in Jurong GRC even after the pandemic.
We will work closely with government agencies, volunteer organisations, employers, our many committed volunteers and all our residents,
to build a strong and compassionate community.
